You mean that the event will fire once a postback occurs, but that you have to insert a seperate submit field to invoke the postback?

A stupid cipher? It seems that this event will only fire if the Value property changes. It was amazing - like the properties on the page were being ignored.The project has other controls that arebeing added dynamically -wonder if that has something to do with it. After searching on this forum I came to know that there is some files to be updated in App_Browser folder which I have also updated but still its not working.

I would suggest trying first the dropdownlist AutoPostBack = true, and see if this works for you without the JavaScript solution.
