Wonder how many new keyboards Apple sold since this started happening. If it were a hardware issue I would presume that SMC resets and flashing the PRAM would have ZERO results, as opposed to working for ten to twenty seconds. Can't thank you enough! I used keyboard shortcuts to get to System Preferences and disable bluetooth and fixed the problem that way.
