I bought myself a set of the latest BOSE headphones with a speaker and tried this this morning but the buzz is still there. This will reset a few settings but will not delete any of your data. 2 Power on the Mac and immediately press ⌘ Command+⌥ Option+P+R. When I want to go to external speakers or headphones, I switch to OUTPUT setting, remove jack, and insert headphones etc. I know that it sounds cliche. have a peek here
