It confusingly may be labelled as delete or an arrow pointing to the left (like on my British English keyboard) depending on what keyboard layout you have. I think you will find that its the Mac that remembers - the device just presents itself. I had paired my Apple keyboard with Apple TV, and this process released it and allowed me to pair with other devices. it's like no signal is coming from the function keys except sometimes from the volume keys. So on a default setup with everything working correctly if you hold fn and then press Volume Down (F11) it will activate Show Desktop, while if you hold fn and then I want to delete the Keyboard(1) from the macbook pro, but how can I when It's not listed as a device in the BT preferences.
It must be kept held down through the entire process. The other keys on the top row (ignoring esc and eject)will act as standard F1 - F10 keys when pressed, which by default in most OS X applications do nothing. This thing is less than 2 years old and the entire reasoning behind purchasing it was that the Mac would last much longer than a PC!
