My earphone works fine now! Headphone Mic Not Working Android Took a few minutes digging with a paperclip to find it. To be safe probably better to use a vacuum. ChrisD Worked perfectly!

However, my audio jack seems to be free of lint and when I plug in my headphones while wearing them, a small pop noise comes through the headphones. He actually had a half unwound paperclip and a flashlight on the string that his badge was on for this. I will spread this knowledge in Holland! brian thank you! Buselding Couldn't tell with light but used a needle and pulled out a big piece of lint and now mic works just fine. It is extremely frustrating to try and watch a video with dust spots permanently embedded in the screen. Microphone and ipod controls are working like a charm again!
That was my problem too! Don't sweat it. I'm on my 4th headphone adaptor, 2 of which I was sent free after complaining they were faulty.. Burtpolson My problem too!
H Ross I totally know what your talking about. Props! And all along I bet it was just a piece of lint. This was no easy task, so I was very happy to have everything turn back on and work perfectly, but terribly frustrated when the inline mic and controls still does not

I was surprised how much lint came out. imagine buying myself thos mega expansive ones n still couldnt get it to work..lol thanks man!! Mchewy This was a great article. You will very likely end up blowing dust in-between the glass and actual LCD display, which is then impossible to get rid of, short of disassembling the device to clean it.
