Thank you for your feedback. I've had mine 3 months and it seems to be doing the same. If you use an extension cable with it (as many have done because its so short) it must be a usb 3.0 extension cable; a usb 2.0 cable will not work. Now here is where it gets interesting.

One USB connector puts out 2.1 amps, which is what the ASUS transformer wants, and the other is 1.0 amp.
