I had to do the same thing each time for about a week and then it just started working like normal again after that. It has updated to 3.1 but now it will not charge (tablet or dock). Will not show charging indicator, will not charge with the screen on iPad Plug (5 VDC, 2.0 Amps) Charge rate 10% per hour. Thank you for your feedback. I've had mine 3 months and it seems to be doing the same. If you use an extension cable with it (as many have done because its so short) it must be a usb 3.0 extension cable; a usb 2.0 cable will not work. Now here is where it gets interesting.

One USB connector puts out 2.1 amps, which is what the ASUS transformer wants, and the other is 1.0 amp.
